Music Industry Day Organised by Aberdeen’s Strategic Music Partnership, this event aims to promote and develop access and opportunities for young people in music. It is aimed at 14-25 year olds and other interested parties. Activity in the afternoon offers a chance for young people to learn from a range of music professionals working across the industry. Free practical workshops cover areas such as recording, performance, promotion and more and will be suitable for those just setting out as well as more experienced young musicians. Culture Crush Culture Crush is Aberdeen’s weekend of creativity as part of London 2012 Open Weekend supported by BP, in association with Creative Scotland. The weekend sees some of Scotland’s most prestigious arts organisations unite for the first time to take over Aberdeen. From an adaptation of the Cone Gatherers to swapping stories for a hair-cut, racing the streets in an International Theatre Decathlon or performing to the sounds of the city’s best known artists, Culture Crush promises to be an exciting weekend showing off the best of Aberdeen.
